OTP Bank is the only bank recognized by the State Tax Service as a High-Trust Taxpayer.

OTP Bank was awarded the title of „Taxpayer of High Trust” at the Gala Evening „Honest Taxpayer – 2025” organized by the State Tax Service.

The award reflects the recognition of the bank’s unwavering commitment to transparency, tax responsibility, and active contribution to the sustainable economic development of the Republic of Moldova.

“We are honored by this recognition, which confirms our commitment to act with integrity, adhering to the highest financial standards and best tax practices. We believe that corporate responsibility begins with a healthy relationship with the state and the community in which we operate,” said Bogdan Spuză, CEO of OTP Bank.

OTP Bank is one of the key financial institutions contributing steadily to the national state budget. In 2024 alone, the bank paid taxes and fees totaling over 290 million lei — a clear confirmation of its active role in the sustainable development of the country.

The list of 100 honorary taxpayers is compiled based on strict criteria, including the absence of tax arrears, discipline in complying with tax legislation, significant contributions to the budget, and maintaining salary levels above the national average.

At the event, high-ranking officials gathered, including Olga Golban, Head of the State Tax Service; Petru Rotaru, Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Moldova; Radu Marian, representative of the Minister of Finance; and Kristina Iksari, State Secretary of the Ministry of Finance. The authorities expressed their gratitude to the awarded enterprises for their valuable contribution to strengthening the European state.

OTP Bank once again reaffirms its commitment to the principles of good corporate governance, social responsibility, and genuine partnership with government authorities and the business community, actively contributing to the economic and social progress of the Republic of Moldova.
