During the closing event of the "National Week of Kindness" campaign, OTP Bank shared its principles of corporate social responsibility and gave examples of projects for a better world alongside its good deeds partner – Concordia Social Services Public Association (PA).
The "National Kindness Week" campaign was launched by the Platform for the Promotion and Development of Philanthropy, to support and carry out philanthropic activities, bringing together non-governmental organizations and the businesses for impactful social initiatives.
One of the common initiatives was in support of Ukrainian refugees. OTP Bank responded promptly by doubling the amount of goods and resources donated by its employees when the need was greatest. PA Concordia who housed refugee families in their centers across the country used these funds to provide them with much-needed medicine and winter clothing.
OTP Bank team continued its good deeds by assisting children from socially vulnerable families lacking necessary school supplies. The "OTP Bank and OK Foundation" campaign for the third consecutive year, directs employee donations to procure backpacks and supplies for primary school students, including for the beneficiaries of PA Concordia. For many children, having school books and backpack to carry them in remains a distant possibility, we are glad to help make it a reality.
On Christmas Eve, we bring joy to children in foster care by taking on the role of Santa Claus. Children write letters with their wishes, and OTP Bank employees make them come true. The letters are collected through PA Concordia from the children living in the social service centers it administers. The #IamSanta Campaign enjoys great popularity among employees and their families as it allows them not just to provide for the needs of the most vulnerable, but bring a few brighter sparks of hope.
