New OTP Bank opportunities at ASEM and USM career fairs

Between 2 and 10 December, OTP Bank joined the series of events “Career Days” at Academy of Economic Studies (ASEM) and State University of Moldova. The bank’s team presented its Internship Premium Program and offered students training sessions in banking and finance.

Internship Premium Program incited interest among students through the diversity of opportunities offered and the its mentorship component. Annually, for one month, students from various university and pre-university education institutions have the opportunity to be guided in specific areas such as financial analysis, lending, marketing, risk evaluation, digital products, human resources, projects, IT and others. Each participant benefits from the mentorship of an OTP colleague and has the opportunity to perform tasks from the desired position.

“We aim to offer the most complex and varied expertise, transmitted to students in an accessible and interesting form,” says Valeria Marinescu, Team Leader, Recruitment and Career Management Department. “Within the Internship Premium, we work intensively on real tasks for a month and insist on regular feedback sessions between participants and mentors. At the end of the internship, each student acquires a good understanding of each position work and guidance in choosing a career.”

The focus on developing real skills during the event was accompanied by the offer of continuous training – an important part of the OTP Bank experience. Ecaterina Lazari, Head of the Financial Analysis Department, organized a practical session at ASEM that guided students in analyzing a credit file:

“The subject was of interest to an impressive number of students – which confirms that young people are eager to learn as much as possible about the real-life banking solutions. They were actively involved, asked questions, and inevitably were curious to learn about employment opportunities at OTP Bank.”

Annually, Internship Premium is graduated by about 30 students from partner institutions: State University of Moldova, Academy of Economic Studies, Free International University and the Center of Excellence in Economics and Finance.
